Cross-border Healthcare: Discussing epSOS with Fredrik Linden
Tina Miteko interviews Fredrik Linden, project coordinator of epSOS on the details behind this important European eHealth project and its attempt to offer cross-border care for European citizens. Fredrik talks about the infrastructure that enables secure access to patient summaries and health records from different European systems and shares his personal experience testing the effectiveness of the ePrescription process while traveling from one European country to another.

Fredrik Linden worked for the Swedish Competence Centre for eHealth managing the work involved in creating the common technical infrastructure for eHealth in Sweden. Lately he has worked as Project Coordinator for epSOS, the European Large Scale Pilot project in eHealth.

It showcased how ICT and innovation on a large scale in health and care systems can contribute to sustainability, economic growth and job opportunities during challenging times.
