Apps & Games have their own Master’s Degree
Professor Ramon Reig Bolaño describes the new Master’s degree on Mobile Apps & Games that runs for the second year at Vic University, in Barcelona, and gives us useful information about the courses themselves, the goals of this innovative program and the different ways someone can enrol. He also talks about the latest trends in the gaming industry, including the recent turn to serious, health and education games, and, finally, he explains why the capital of Catalunya is an ideal place to nurture your innovative ideas and get your start-up going. Associate Professor at University of Vic (UVIC) & Central University of Catalunya (UCC)
Ramon Reig Bolaño is Associate Professor at the University of Vic (UVIC) and is the Head of Digital and Information Technologies Department since 2012. He received his Ph.D and M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunications Engineering from the BarcelonaTECH Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, in 2008 and 1994 respectively. His current research interests are in the area of signal and image processing, with particular emphasis on multiresolution signal processing techniques. He joined the Department of Digital & Information Technologies at the University of Vic (UVIC) in 1991 as Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to Lecturer in 1994. He has been teaching and doing research in the IT area, from embedded electronics applications to computer vision systems. He has been involved in several research and development projects.
